Hey Saint Louis, and beyond if you're listening, we need to talk. Many small businesses, independent work, co-op groups and community projects are feeling rough around here. Not for lack of effort, creativity, diversity or drive but because money is being spent elsewhere and city officials are pre-occupied with other projects.
It has to stop. Since the City of Saint Louis is not protecting this work and there are no city-funded objectives to nurture small or grass root growth we've decided to do something with our (very small) platform. Introducing our Small Time Woes Series. We hope through the magic of crowd sourcing the residents of STL and the surrounding communities will work together to fund and support local/indie efforts.
Each week we will introduce a new small business owner, indie promoter, community group or idea-driven initiative in Saint Louis. We will show their face, tell their story and allow you to easily donate DIRECTLY to them even if you don't have time to visit regularly. If you take the time to share the page, promote the effort and collaborate small payments; every bit will help keep the gears turning in our city.
Together we can make sure each idea or bit of work, regardless of size or complexity, has a chance to grow. Together we will survive.
"It's a small time for small time project. No bias, we just want to hear your stories, and provide the option for direct funding." -- Cranky David

Hi everyone. Cranky David here. Things have been a little crazy (and unfortunate) around Cranky Yellow recently. I’m pushing forward the release of the Small Time Woes Series because I, like almost everyone out there, have been feeling the choppy waters.
