Cranky Yellow is showing 3 different shoe box diorama’s this Saturday at All Along Press (2712 Cherokee Street) as part of: Everything Must Go: Window Installations by Anya Liao, Rici Wittkugel, Katie Olson, and Anna C. Paszkiewicz. 7pm to 10pm.

The night will feature music from StL’s best and beyond; slogan art inspired by elections, community action, and generally anything we believe in; a ballot with social action items that we WILL implement; a Social Justice Fair with information and representation from many StL orgs; voter education + registration; and a few Lane4 surprises.

Jason’s printed silkscreen punk & pop & rock posters are a perfect combo to his recent fine-art collage(s). The strikingly different work presents well together with a mixed bright /strike/ subdued palette. The selected cropped photography and pop culture imagery are thoughtful and surprising; tasteful grudge that is both smart and visually approachable.

Cranky Yellow can get with some contemporary abstract work being created around Saint Louis; especially if it doesn’t make us want to puke in pretension. Before you get any pre-conceived conceptions of what abstract is doing in around here lets talk

Burn353 is releasing a collection of new personal work and collaborations on October 2nd, 2010, in his first solo show: “Burn Your Bridges and Learn to Fly”. His pop-tattoo-esque paintings and collage work will punch your face with their bright colors and punk candy aesthetics.
