Cranky Yellow presents a collection of work by print-maker and montage-ist, Jason Potter. The exhibit will open on Friday March 4th 2011 from 7pm to 12am at The Cranky Yellow (2847 Cherokee Street).
Jason’s printed silkscreen punk & pop & rock posters are a perfect combo to his recent fine-art collage(s). The strikingly different work presents well together with a mixed bright /strike/ subdued palette. The selected cropped photography and pop culture imagery are thoughtful and surprising; tasteful grudge that is both smart and visually approachable.

Just a note, The Ex-Bombers (members of Pat Boone’s Farm) will be playing that night as well. The Ex-Bombers are from Columbia, MO are spy jazz and sound like what would be playing at a Black Sabbath 3 a.m. after party. The duo (8-string bass and male vocals/drum kit and female vocals) are avant with deep grooves like one of Warhol’s favorite wrinkles. They will play at 10.
